The transition from high school to post-secondary can be a huge shift, and the in-between moments often feel unsettling. These moments, known as liminal spaces, are filled with the challenge of leaving one phase behind while facing an uncertain future. It’s a time that can feel disruptive, as individuals find themselves between milestones. The organizers behind these awards believe that faith can grow even in these uncertain spaces.

Research shows that having a mentor during times of transition can be incredibly helpful. That’s why the awards encourage applicants to connect with a mentor to help navigate the road ahead. This guidance helps individuals take that next step with confidence and clarity.

The team behind the awards shares a core belief: faith in Jesus is relevant at every stage of life. In today’s world, loneliness is a common struggle, and while building relationships can be tough, they are something everyone craves. The organizers believe that Jesus created us to live in community, and making connections early sets the foundation for the meaningful relationships everyone longs for.
